I am an artist whose work is deeply intertwined with my experiences as a war survivor. The complexities of human emotion and the raw realities of life profoundly influence my art. Beginning with capturing the devastation and resilience in war-torn Syria, my art evolved to find elegance amidst destruction, focusing on the intricate details like the lines of damaged electrical wires and the interplay of water with clay. I then explored human reactions to conflict, portraying fear and defense, capturing the suffering and resilience through layered techniques. Recently, I've transitioned to abstraction, letting go of familiar shapes and colors to allow natural forces to shape the canvas. My journey as an artist is not just a reflection of what I see or feel; it's a continuous dialogue with the world and the self, influenced by my personal experiences as a survivor of war, transforming these experiences into a narrative told through paint and canvas.
